The Falcon Acoustics 2024 Limited Edition is the final culmination of many years of research and involvement with the BBC LS3/5A. The Edition is strictly limited to 50 Numbered Pairs and will never be repeated.

The 2024 Limited Edition in blind A/B testing has been shown to be sonically superior to the legendary Falcon Acoustics Kingswood Warren Limited Edition, widely held to be the best LS3/5A ever made. The 2024 Limited Edition shows better fuller bass response, and a markedly more transparent and revealing midrange.

The 2024 Limited Edition is sold in matched pairs in a hand-made Italian leather Pilots Case, the 9mm thin wall graded Baltic Ply English Burr Elm cabinets have unique vintage Tygan cloth grilles.

The drive units are again the renowned Falcon B110, and the Falcon T27 tweeter, both designed by Malcolm Jones, the original designer of the KEF B110 and KEF T27 that were specified in the original 15 ohm LS3/5A version designed by the BBC. Both drive units are handmade in the UK to ensure the highest quality, grading and consistency, and are identical to the original LS3/5a drive units. They are unique to Falcon.

The “ultimate” 15 ohm 2024 Limited Edition FL6/23 filter networks exclusive to Falcon feature our famous Falcon inductors specially made in Britain for Falcon to the original larger R&D specification for better sonics, lower distortion and lower saturation.

Ultra-rare Polycarbonate Film Capacitors hand made in the UK match the sonic characteristics of the original BBC R&D prototype version.

Ohmite NI Audio Gold non-magnetic resistors have been especially selected to eliminate the effects of stray magnetic fields on performance, resulting in simplified shielding requirements and improved sound quality.

Finally. an Arlon 25N PCB renowned for ultra-low dielectric loss and maximum signal stability is partnered with gold tracking and gold machined pins for maximum sonic accuracy and lowest possible noise floor giving exceptional clarity.

The 9mm sealed back cabinets are made from specially selected graded Baltic Ply, and use selected grade Beech fillets. They are hand-made in Italy by specialist cabinet makers to BBC Specification, and are available in selected English Burr Elm wood veneers with a unique vintage 1975 Tygan Cloth front grille.

The Falcon Acoustics 2024 Limited Edition LS3/5A is sold in matched pairs only, and is supplied with an Instruction Manual, Individually Numbered Certificate of Authenticity and comes with a 5 year Guarantee.

Falcon specification UK Manufactured Polycarbonate capacitors. Polycarbonate film capacitors are widely held to provide the best results possible giving greater detail, transparency and an ultra-low noise floor. The film has been out of production for over 25 years, so this is a rare opportunity to hear what the BBC intended the LS3/5A to sound like

Falcon UK Manufactured BBC R&D Spec transformer inductors. These are about double the size of standard production inductors generally available, and provide better saturation characteristics, lower distortion and improved bass response
